Hubungan Harga Diri Dengan Kepercayaan Diri Pada Komunitas Cosplayer Medan (Cosmed)

Abstract

Confidence is a belief of a person to be able to behave in accordance with the expected and desired and one's belief in all aspects of their advantages and have a positive or realistic view of themselves. High and low self-confidence can be seen from the scale of self-confidence compiled researchers based on aspects of self-confidence that is Behavior, Emotion, Spiritual. The hypothesis proposed in this study There is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem with confidence. Research subjects taken as many 50 people. The sampling technique is total sampling. The measuring tools used are Self-esteem scale and Confidence scale using Guttman scale form. Data processing this research by using product moment correlation technique from pearson. The results showed a correlation of 0.362 with p 0.01, this means there is a significant positive correlation between self-esteem with confidence on cosplayer in cosplayer community Medan. This means that the higher the self-esteem will be the higher the confidence, otherwise the lower the self-esteem the lower the confidence. The coefficient of determination of the correlation is equal to R² = 0,131 means Self-esteem gives effective contribution to the confidence of 13.1% while the rest 86.9% is determined by other factors that influence in this study that does not look like parents, safe, success, physical appearance, personal ability, social interaction and self-concep
