Persepsi Masyarakat Nias Terhadap Film Lua-Lua Mbowo Sebua

Abstract

This study was motivated by the Lua-Lua Mbowo Sebua film presentation which present the high demand for dowry as a result of falling in poverty, this phenomenon is a strong reason for researchers. The purpose of this study was to find out how the community perception of Awoni village, Idanotae sub-district, South Nias district, towards the Lua-Lua Mbowo Sebua is a film. The method that i use in this study is qualitative descriptive. The researcher chose the adat leader, ordinary people and youth as well as those who were educated in the implementation of the FDG to strengthen the validity of a study. As a result of this research process, researchers found that forced matchmaking was very detrimental to the younger generation who wanted schools to seek knowledge, the dowry requested by the women was too high, uncles too forced the will to get their share, and newly married men and women fell poor.
