Hubungan antara Keharmonisan Keluarga dengan Perilaku Agresif pada Remaja di SLTP Yayasan Perguruan Islam AMir Hamzah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between family harmony with aggressive behavior in adolescents at Amir Hamzah Islamic Junior High School Foundation. Aggressive behavior is a form of threat that is often encountered at this time, this behavior is in the form of hitting, cursing, harming intentionally or not, while family harmony is an arrangement in a whole family that performs its roles and functions well, thus giving an impact positive in child development. The population of this study were junior high school students Amir Hamah class 1.2 and 3 as many as 150 people. The research sample was 65 people, sampling technique with purposive sampling method. This study uses two psychological scales namely family harmony scale and aggressive behavior scale. The analysis technique used is product moment correlation. The results of this study indicate the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.437 with p = 0,000 (p < 0,050), meaning that there is a negative relationship between family harmony with aggressive behavior. With these results, the hypothesis in this study that there is a negative relationship between family harmony with aggressive behavior can be accepted. The negative correlation coefficient indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is negative, meaning that the lower the family harmony, the higher the aggressive behavior. Family harmony provides an effective contribution of 19.1% in aggressive behavior and as much as 80.9% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as school, individual, mass media, etc. The empirical mean variable of aggressive behavior obtained is 75.14 while the empirical mean variable of family harmony is 53.95, then for the mean hypothetical variable aggressive behavior is 62.5 and the mean hypothetical variable of family harmony is 70.
