Abstract: This study aims to see the relationship between situational leadership style and employee performance at PT. Wahasa Logistik Medan. The subjects in this study were employees of the company, which amounted to 64 employees. The sampling technique uses the Total Sampling technique. Data retrieval is done using one scale, namely the scale of situational leadership style while the performance is standard from the company. Data analysis using spearman product moment (rxy) correlation technique that is equal to 0.461 with P = 0,000 <0.01, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between situational leadership style and employee performance which shows that the better situational leadership style, the better employee performance. Conversely the worse the situational leadership style, the worse the performance of employees. The situational leadership style in this study is classified as high because (empirical mean = 77.78 <hypothetical mean = 67.5 and SD = 10.706). And performance is high, because (empirical mean = 17.75 <mean hypothetical = 12 and SD = 2,247). The determinant coefficient of the correlation is r2 = 0.212. Situational leadership style contributed to the performance of 21.2%. The results of this study, according to the hypothesis with the results of research in the field. It is stated that the hypothesis is accepted.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan gaya kepemimpinan situasional dengan kinerja karyawan di PT. Wahana Logistik Medan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan perusahaan, yang berjumlah 64 orang karyawan.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling.Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan satu skala, yaitu skala gaya kepemimpinan situasional sedangkan kinerja itu standart dari perusahaan. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi spearman product moment (rxy) yaitu sebesar 0.461 dengan P = 0,000 < 0,01, artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan situasional dengan kinerja karyawan yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik gaya kepemimpinan situasional maka semakin baik kinerja karyawan. Sebaliknya semakin buruk gaya kepemimpinan situasional maka semakin buruk kinerja karyawan.Gaya kepemimpinan situasional dalam penelitian ini tergolong tinggi karena (mean empirik =77,78< mean hipotetik = 67,5dan SD = 10,706). Dan Kinerja tergolong tinggi, karena (mean empirik= 17,75< mean hipotetik = 12dan SD = 2,247). Adapun koefisien determinan dari korelasi tersebut sebesar r2 = 0,212. Gaya kepemimpinan situasional memberikan sumbangan terhadap kinerja sebesar 21,2%. Hasil penelitian ini, sesuai antara hipotesis dengan hasil penelitian di lapangan.Dinyatakan hipotesis diterima.
