Peran Polisi Resor Kota Besar Medan dalam Upaya Penegakan dan Pencegahan Tidak Pidana Penipuan Melalui Online Shop

Abstract

Cybercrime crimes that occur mainly against cases of fraud through online shops that have become victims and total losses vary from small to a large total loss, because easily the people now in accessing the internet and want to need a way to shop with an easy process and quickly so many people easily trust the cheap online buying and selling site but not necessarily guaranteed safe, so the police as servants and protectors of the community can provide protection and can investigate and punish perpetrators of fraudulent crimes through online shops. Based on this, the authors make a formulation of the problem, which is how the process of enforcing an online shop fraud is carried out by the Medan Big City Resort Police and How the countermeasures carried out by the Medan Kota Besar Police Resort in preventing online shop fraud. The research method used is library research (Library Research) about lease agreements and field research, namely interviews related to the role of police in big city terrain resorts in efforts to enforce and prevent fraud through online shops. With the acceptance of reporting and conducting investigations, refresive actions are then carried out. The Role of the Police in Investigating Crime through Online Shop is basically the same as other conventional criminal acts referring to the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) where the Investigation is a juridical activity conducted by investigators to seek and find true truth (making light and clearly a criminal offense that occurred). The countermeasures carried out by the Medan City Police Resort are to provide counseling to the community starting from the village, to schools and to the city level of Medan through SAT BINMAS POLRESTABES MEDAN. As well as blocking sites or websites that carry out cybercrime actions, especially fraudulent acts through online shops by coordinating through the informatics department and to the North Sumatra POLDA level so that no victims are deceived through websites or site accounts of cybercrime perpetrators of fraud through online crime shop.
