Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Motivasi Berprestasi pada Siswa Kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Al Wasliyah 12 Perbaungan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and achievement motivation in class XI Madrasah Aliyah Al-Wasliyah 12 Perbaungan. Social support with achievment motivation in class XI Madrasah Aliyah Al-Wasliyah 12 Perbaungan in research is revealed using a likert scale. The method of data analysis used in this study is the product moment and the sampling technique is purposive sampling. The subjects in this study were students of classXI Madrasah Aliyah Al-Wasliyah 12 Perbaungan schools. Population in this study were 140 students with a sample of 70 students consisting of 35 students IPA and 35 students of IPS class.The instrument of this study is the scale of social support and achievment motivation scale. The result are as follows : 1) there is a significant positive relationship between social supports and achievment motivation with correlation coefficient Rxy =0,514 ; p = 0,000 < 0,05, there are the relationship of 26,4% of these result is known that there are still 73,6% of contributions from other factors or variables to the formation of achiecment motivation. These factors are not necessary and need to be examined in this study. 2) that the MA Alwasliyah 12 students have high social support (emprical mean = 128,37>hypothetical Mean =110where the difference between the two means exceeds SD number = 13,444) and the achievment motivation of students of MA Alwaliyah 12 is comparatively high emperical mean = 127,01>hypothetical Mean = 107,5 where the difference between the two means exceeds the SD number = 12,326. From the results of this study,the propsed hypothesis is accepted.
