Hubungan Pola Asuh Permisif dengan Perilaku Seksual Pranikah Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between permissive parenting and premarital sexual behavior of students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area. This type of research is used quantitative correlational research, with a measuring instrument consisting of screening test parenting, permissive parenting scale, and premarital sexual behavior scale. Both scales are based on a Likert Scale. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total of 118 students. The data analysis technique used is the Product Moment correlation technique from Pearson (PPM). Based on the results of data analysis, the results showed that there was a positive relationship seen from the correlation coefficient (rxy = 0.573 and P (0.000) <0.05 with an effective contribution given a permissive parenting to premarital sexual behavior of 32.8 %. Seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean = 70, the empirical mean = 93.02 and the standard deviation = 9,283 note that permissive parenting is in the high category as well as premarital sexual behavior with the calculation of the hypothetical mean = 140, empirical mean = 170.10 and standard deviation 17,575 It is known in the high category. This proves the research hypothesis can be accepted.
