Hubungan antara Optimisme dengan Adversity Quotient pada TKI

Abstract

Adversity quotient is the ability of thinking, handling and also directing activity on cognitive formulation (cognitive way). It also talks about the character of somebody to survive the challenge and barrier of life, in order to archive the goal of life. One factor which influence is optimism. Optimism is the believeness of some case, whether its happiness or unhappiness. Will cause the failure on the external personality, hoping the total expectation which will be more luck and goodness than worse things that will happen. The research means to know the relationship between optimism and adversity quotient on TKI. The population on this research is TKI who recond on BNP3TKI medan. With the total samples 47 TKI. The method of sampling by using purposive sampling. Both scale are arranged by likert scale (skala likert). Data analysis used product moment. This term is used for analysis the relationship one free variable with one fixed variable. The result of analysis which is noted (know) as a having relationship significant positive between optimism and adversity quotient. This point is shown by quotient Rxy=0,93 ; p=0,000 means p>0,01 it means the higher optimism so the higher adversity quotient on TKI. Another result is the research quotient determinant (r2)=0,870. It means optimism give influence 87,0 % to adversity quotient and the rest 13% or another influence factor from optimism. Here with the hypothesis is accepted.
