Abstract: This research aims to look at the relationship between job satisfaction with the performance at the Perkebunan Nusantara IV Company. The hypothesis put forward there is a positive relationship between job satisfaction with the performance on employees in Perkebunan Nusantara IV Company. Population in this study amounted to 360 peoples. Sample data retrieval techniques is using purposive sampling amounted to 43 peoples. Method of data collection is the job satisfaction scale and performance documentation. Data analysis use analysis of product moment. Research results shows that there is a significant relationship between job satisfaction and the performance. It is shown from the coefficient rxy = 0.506 ; p = 0000 < 0050.01 which means that the higher job satisfaction then the higher the performance. Based on the results of this research, then the hypothesis posed was declared admissible. There is a donation job satisfaction themselves against Performance of 25.6 %. From these results it is known that there is still a 74,4 % there are other factors which are not examined in this researcher such as: individual factors, including; abilities, skills, family background, work experience, person social and demographic levels and psychological factors, include; perception, commitment, role, attitude, personality, work motivation, interests and quality of work life.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja pada karyawan PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan ada hubungan positif antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja pada karyawan di PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 360 orang. Teknik pengambilan data sampel ialah menggunakan purposive sampling yang berjumlah 43 orang. Metode pengumpulan data adalah skala kepuasan kerja dan data kinerja perusahaan. Analisa data menggunakan analisis Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kepuasan kerja dan kinerja. Hal ini ditunjukan dari koefisien rxy = 0,506; p = 0.000 < 0,050 yang berarti bahwa semakin tinggi kepuasan kerja maka semakin tinggi kinerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima. Sumbangan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja sebesar 25,6 %. Dari hasil ini diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 74,4 % faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini, seperti: faktor individu, meliputi; kemampuan, keterampilan, latar belakang keluarga, pengalaman kerja, tingkat sosial dan demografi seseorang dan faktor psikologis, meliputi; persepsi, komitmen, peran, sikap, kepribadian, motivasi kerja, minat dan kualitas kehidupan kerja.
