Hubungan Intensitas Menonton Drama Korea dengan Perilaku Modeling pada Remaja Putri

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of watching Korean drama with modeling behavior of female teenager. With a hypothesis: the higher the intensity of watching Korean drama, the modeling behavior will also increase, and vice versa the lower the intensity of watching, the lower the modeling behavior will be. This research uses a quantitative with data collection methods using the scale of watching Korean drama intensity and behavioral modeling scale. The population in this study amounted to 100 teenagers members of the Kdrama Lovers Medan community and took samples with a purposive sampling technique of 58 teenagers of the Kdrama Lovers Medan Community. The method of data analysis uses the Pearson product moment. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between the intensity of watching Korean dramas with modeling behavior, where rxy = 0.982 with a significant p > 0.05. Thus the hypothesis proposed is accepted. Based on the results of the study, the contribution of watching Korean drama intensity was 96.4 % and the remaining 3.6 % was influenced by other factors, namely social factors including: age, gender, and culture.
