Perbedaan Perilaku Prososial Ditinjau dari Suku Jawa dan Suku Batak pada Remaja di Desa Nagori Kandangan Simalungun

Abstract

This study aims to look at difference in prosocial behavior in terms of the Javanese and Batak tribes. This study used a quantitive approach. The prosocial behavior is form of action taken or planned to help others without regard to the motives of the Helper and have a positive impact aimed at the walfare of others, both physically and psychologically. In line with the discussion in the theoretical basis, then the hypothesis proposed in this study is that there are difference in prosocial behavior of Javanese and Batak tribes in adolescents in the village of Nagori Kandangan Simalungun with assuming the Javanese is higher than the Batak tribes. The sample of this study is 60 people, consisting of 30 Javanese people and 30 bataknese people. The sampling technique used is purposive random sampling. Hyphothesis testing with the help of SPSS is 1 Lane analysis. This study used prosocial behavior scale by using likert scale model. Based on data analysis, it is known that this study used a 1 Lane variant data analysis method. The results of data processing obtained the following results : a) there are significant difference in prosocial behavior between Javanese and Batak tribes this is evidenced the coefficient of difference F = 27,283 with P = 0,000 < 0,005. Meaning that there is a difference between the Javanese and Batak tribes. b) from the results of the study, it was found that the empirical mean Javanese was 165,10 which was classified as high and the empirical mean of the Batak tribes was 150,70 which classified as moderate. See the results of the research analysis, the hypothesis is accepted.
