Abstract: | This research aims to know the correlation between work motivation with performance. With there is a positive correlation between work motivation with performance on employees in PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatera as hypothesis, with assumption the higher motivation on employees in working, the higher resulting performance. This research is quantitative correllational with involved subjects 66 permanent employees in PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatera and the sampling was done by Purposive Sampling technique. The method of collecting data used in this research were scale method and documentation method. The scale method used is work motivation. Documents in form “Penilaian Kinerja Pegawai (PKP)” obtained from human resources division part of staffing. The data analyzing used correlation Product Moment technique, based on the obtained data analyzing, the proposed hypothesis in this research is stated to be accepted, that means there is a significant relationship between work motivation with performance on employees. With (rxy) = 0,453 and sig level P = 0,000. The determinant coefficient of the correlation is r2 = 0,203. Work motivation of performance contributed 20,3%. In other results, work motivation is classified as high for performance, with known from (mean hypothetic 100 < mean empiric 120,88 and SD = 8,708). |
Description: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja. Hipotesis penelitian ini ada hubungan positif antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja pada karyawan di PDAM Tirtanadi Sumatera Utara dengan asumsi semakin tinggi motivasi karyawan dalam bekerja maka semakin tinggi kinerja yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan subjek melibatkan 66 orang karyawan tetap PDAM Tirtanadi Sumatera Utara. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Metode pengumpulan data adalah metode skala dan metode dokumentasi. Metode skala yang digunakan yaitu skala Motivasi Kerja. Dan pada metode dokumentasi berupa Penilaian Kinerja Pegawai (PKP) yang diperoleh dari Divisi Sumber Daya Manusia bagian kepegawaian. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi Product Moment. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan diterima yaitu ada hubungan signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan dengan perhitungan analisis korelasi nilai (rxy) = 0,453 dan taraf sig P = 0,000. Adapun koefisien determinan dari korelasi tersebut sebesar r2 = 0,203. Motivasi kerja memberikan kontribusi terhadap kinerja sebesar (20,3%). Hasil lain ditemukan, motivasi kerja tergolong tinggi terhadap kinerja dengan diketahui dari (mean hipotetik motivasi kerja 100 < mean empirik motivasi kerja 120,88 dan SD = 8,708). |
