Hubungan Dukungan Sosial Keluarga dengan Penerimaan Diri Narapidana Wanita di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Tanjung Gusta

Abstract

This study aims to look at the relationship between Family Social Support and the Self Acceptance of Women Prisoners at the Tanjung Gusta Penitentiary.The population in this study was 493 inmates at the Tanjung Gusta Penitentiary. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique, and the sample size in this study was 90 people. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection methods in this study used a scale of family social support and self acceptance scale. Data analysis using Pearson Product moment correlation analysis. The results of the study are that there is a significant relationship between family social support and female prisoners' self acceptance. This is indicated by the value of coefficient equal to 0.781 with p = 0.000 < 0.050 which means that the higher the Family Social Support, the higher the Self Acceptance. Based on the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis was declared accepted. There is a contribution of family social support for self acceptance by 60.9%. From these results it is known that there are still 30.1 % there are other factors not seen in this study. Another factor known is education. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between Family Social Support and the Self Acceptance of Women Prisoners in Tanjung Gusta Penitentiary and has high family social support and high self acceptance.
