Abstract: This study aims to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior in employees of the Social Service Office of Tebing Tinggi City. Job satisfaction is a set of employee feelings towards his work, whether happy / like or not happy / dislike as a result of employee interaction with his work environment or as a perception of mental attitude, also as a result of employee research on his work which includes aspects namely wages, jobs, promotions, superiors and coworkers. Organizational citizenship behavior is the contribution of individuals who exceed the demands of roles in the workplace without the existence of formal rewards from the organization and solely for the interests of the organization in achieving its objectives which include the dimensions of altruism, civic virtue, conscientiousness, courtesy, and sportsmanship. The research sample was all 32 people of the Social Service Office of Tebing Tinggi City. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. Sampling in this study with total sampling. Based on the results of the calculation of Product Moment Correlation Analysis, it can be seen that there is a significant positive relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and job satisfaction. This result is proven by the rxy correlation coefficient = 0.633; sig 0,000. Thus the hypothesis proposed, is accepted. Job satisfaction has an influence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of 40%. Which means there is still 60% influence from other factors.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dengan organizational citizenship behavior pada pegawai Dinas Sosial Kota Tebing Tinggi. Kepuasan kerja merupakan sekumpulan perasaan pegawai terhadap pekerjaannya, apakah senang/suka atau tidak senang/tidak suka sebagai hasil interaksi pegawai dengan lingkungan pekerjaannya atau sebagai persepsi sikap mental, juga sebagai hasil penelitian pegawai terhadap pekerjaannya yang meliputi aspek yaitu upah, pekerjaan, promosi, atasan, dan rekan kerja. Organizational citizenship behavior adalah kontribusi individu yang melebihi tuntutan peran di tempat kerja tanpa adanya reward formal dari organisasi dan semata-mata hanya untuk kepentingan organisasi dalam mencapai tujuannya yang meliputi dimensi altruism, civic virtue, conscientiousness, courtesy, dan sportsmanship. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh pegawai Dinas Sosial Kota Tebing Tinggi yang berjumlah 32 orang. Pendekatan yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan total sampling. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Analisis Korelasi Product Moment, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara organizational citizenship behavior dengan kepuasan kerja. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy =0,633 ; sig 0,000. Dengan demikian maka hipotesis yang diajukan, diterima. Kepuasan kerja memberikan pengaruh terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) sebesar 40%. Yang artinya masih terdapat 60% pengaruh dari faktor lain.
