| Abstract: | Heat exchanger is a device that serves to move one fluid to antother fluid. In general, fluids are used as colling using to ordinary water ( cooling water), and hot media use steam heater as heater (superheated steam).One type of heat exchanger that is High Pressure Heater (HPH). HPH is the beginning of the feedwater before entering the boiler. This equipment is used to increase the efficiency of the overall system. High pressure Heater must be maintained heater performance be cause it is directly releated to the reliabity of electricity generating unit.This research was conducted to determine the effective of High Pressure Heater at Belawan Power Plant unit 4. This determination is based on operational data on 13 Mei – 17 Mei 2019.The calculations use the shell abd Tube Heat Exchanger heat transfer method. The calculation result obtained the highest effectiveness effective achieved is equal to 93,29 % and the lowest effectiveness of 9,48 %. |
| Description: | Alat penukar kalor adalah suatu alat yang berfungsi untuk memindahkan satu fluida ke fluida lainnya. Pada umumnya fluida yang digunakan sebagai pendingin memakai air biasa (cooling water), dan media panas memakai uap panas sebagai pemanas (superheated Steam). Salah satu dari alat penukar kalor yang dipakai adalah High pressure Heater (HPH). HPH adalah alat pemanas awal feedwater sebelum masuk ke dalam boiler. Peralatan ini berfungsi untuk menaikkan efisiensi sistem secara keseluruhan. Dalam pengoperasiannya, High pressure heater harus dijaga performanya karena berhubungan langsung dengan kehandalan unit pembangkit listrik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan efisiensi pada High Pressure Heater pada unit 4 PLTU unit pelaksana pembangkit Belawan. Penentuan ini berrdasarkan data operasional pada tanggal 13 Mei – 17 Mei 2019.Perhitungan menggunakan metode analisis perpindahan panas Shell and Tube Exchager. Hasil Perhitungan diperoleh efektivitas tetinggi 93,29 % dan terendah sebesar 9,48 %. |
