Abstract: This study aims to look at the relationship between social support and learning motivation in students, where the subjects in this study are students of class X, XI, XII of SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Labu. Distribution of social support scales with learning motivation using a Likert scale. The data analysis method used in this study is Product Moment Correlation. Based on calculations r Product Moment analysis with a value or coefficient (Rxy) = 0.573 and the determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.328 with p = 0.000 < 0.050. These results indicate that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted, namely there is a relationship between social support and learning motivation. This means that the higher the social support, the higher the motivation for student learning. This is evidenced through the calculation of the determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.328 indicating social support forms learning motivation of 32.8 %. Furthermore, social support received by students in the high category through the calculation of hypothetical mean = 80 and empirical mean = 106.48 the difference exceeds the standard deviation = 9.328, and motivation in the high category is seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean = 70 and empirical mean = 87.33 the difference exceeds the standard deviation = 7,980.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Dukungan sosial dengan Motivasi belajar pada siswa, dimana yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa/siswi kelas X, XI, XII SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Labu. Penyebaran skala Dukungan sosial dengan Motivasi belajar menggunakan skala Likert. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Korelasi- Product Moment. Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis r Product Moment dengan nilai atau koefisien (Rxy) = 0.573 dan koefisien determinan (R2) = 0.328 dengan p = 0.000 < 0.050. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan diterima, yaitu ada hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan motivasi belajar. Artinya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin tinggi pula motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui perhitungan koefisien determinan (R2) = 0.328 menunjukkan dukungan sosial membentuk motivasi belajar sebesar 32.8 %. Selanjutnya dukungan sosial yang diterima oleh siswa dalam kategori tinggi melalui perhitungan mean hipotetik = 77.5 dan mean empirik = 106.48 selisihnya melebihi standar deviasi = 9.328, dan motivasi dalam kategori tinggi dilihat dari perhitungan mean hipotetik = 65 dan mean empiric = 87.33 selisihnya melebihi standar deviasi = 7.980.
