Hubungan antara Dukungan Keluarga dengan Motivasi Sembuh pada Wanita Penderita Kanker Payudara di RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan

Abstract

This study aims to test empirically and find out the relationship between family support and recovery motivation in women with breast cancer at the Government Hospital of Haji Adam Malik Medan. The method used in this research is quantitative method. This research uses incidental techniques. Subjects in this study were women with breast cancer at the Government Hospital of Haji Adam Malik Medan totaling 627 patients and 40 samples were taken. The scale used is the family support scale which refers to Friedman's opinion and amounted to 38 items and the recovery motivation scale that refers to Conger's opinion amounted to 14 items compiled using the Likert scale method. The analysis technique in this study is the Product moment correlation technique. The results of the analysis note that there is a positive relationship with family support with recovery motivation in women with breast cancer where rxy = 0.508 p = 0.001 < 0.05. And reliability on the scale of family support Rtt = 0.937 and religiosity of cured motivation Rtt: 0.925. Other results obtained from this study that family support contributed to the motivation to recover by 65.3 %. In addition, other results obtained from this study are the empirical mean is 97.48 while for the recovery motivation variable is 67.83. Based on calculations that the hypotheses under study are accepted and there is a positive relationship that family support contributes to improving recovery motivation in women with breast cancer.
