Abstract: | The boiler machine role in the industry in the production process is very important. To find out the boiler efficiency used a direct method that is the energy gained from the working fluid (water and steam) compared to the energy contained in the boiler fuel. To improve the boiler machine performance efficiency, there were several factors; one of them was in the use of boiler fuel. Then, the fuel discussed were the fuel of shell, sugarcane bagasse, and also the mixture of the shell and the sugarcane bagasse. In the use of 100% shell fuel by water content of 3.4%, it was obtained the boiler machine efficiency of 57% by fuel use of 113.59 Kg fuel/hour, whereas in the use of 70% shell mixture fuel and 30% sugarcane bagasse obtained the boiler machine efficiency of 28% by fuel use of 207.2 Kg fuel/hour. So, it can be concluded that the use of 100% shell fuel by the water content of 3.4% was the best fuel to be used in the boiler machine. |
Description: | Peranan mesin boiler di industri dalam proses produksi sangat penting. Untuk mengetahui efisiensi boiler digunakan metode langsung yaitu energi yang di dapat dari fluida kerja (air dan steam) dibandingkan dengan energi yang terkandung dalam bahan bakar boiler. Untuk meningatkan efiaiensi kerja mesin boiler tersebut ada beberapa faktor salah satunya dalam penggunaan bahan bakar boiler. Bahan bakar yang dibahas adalah bahan bakar cangkang, ampas tebu, dan juga campuran cangkang dan ampas tebu. Pada penggunaan bahan bakar cangkang 100% dengan kadar air 3,4% diperoleh efisiensi mesin boiler 57% dengan pemakaian bahan bakar 113.59 Kg bahan bakar/jam, untuk bahan bakar ampas tebu 100% dengan kadar air 10% diperoleh efisiensi boiler 56% dengan pemakaian bahan bakar 403.1 Kg bahan bakar/ jam, untuk bahan bakar campuran cangang 70% dan ampas tebu 30% diperoleh efisiensi mesin boiler 22% dengan pemakaian bahan bakar 165.1 Kg bahan bakar /jam, sedangkan untuk bahan bakar ampas tebu 70% dan cangkang 30% diperoleh efisiensi pada mesin boiler 28% dengan pemakaan bahan bakar 207.2 Kg bahan bakar/jam. Sehingga dapat dikatakan penggunaan bahan bakar cangkang 100% dengan kadar air 3,4% merupakan bahan bakar yang baik digunakan untuk mesin boiler. |
