dc.descriptionEksplorasi bakteri termofilik sangat penting untuk mengetahui jenis dan sifatnya, penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis bakteri termofilik pada sumber air panas. Sampel air panas 2 kawah yaitu atas dan bawah dikawasan cagar alam Tinggi Raja Kecamatan Silau Kahen Kabupaten Simalungun Sumatera Utara. Pengamatan dilakukan secara makroskopis, mikroskopis, dan uji biokimia untuk mengetahui karakteristik bakteri termofilik pada sampel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bakteri dari kedua kawah ditemukan dua isolat yang memiliki bentuk koloni bulat bersifat gram positif, motil dan menghasilkan enzim katalase.en_US
dc.description.abstractThermophilic bacterial exploration is paramount to conduct in order to indentify the characteristic and species of bacteria. The research was carried out descriptively by taking hot water samples from upper and lower craters in Tinggi Raja sanctuary area in Kahen sub-district Simalungun, North Sumatera. Macroscopic and microscopic observation as well as biochemical tests were conducted to determine the characteristics of thermophilic bacteria from these samples. The results of the study showed that the bacteria from the two isolates are gram positive, motil and able to produce catalase enzyme.en_US
