| Abstract: | Prevalence is one of epidemiological studies that defined as the number of people in the population who have a particular disease. Hypertension is a noncommunicable disease which is characterized by an increase in blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of hypertension in late adolescents in Medan Denai Health Center, Medan Denai District in the period July 2018 to July 2019. The research was conducted descriptively by analyzing the results of patient’s blood pressure measurements. Based on the results of a total sample (692 patients) of late adolescent patients who did blood pressure checks in the periode of juli 2018 to juli 2019 at Medan Denai Health Center in Medan, 25 cases of hypertension were found with a prevalence of 3,61%. | Description: | Prevalensi adalah bagian dari studi epidemiologi yang didefenisikan sebagai jumlah orang dalam populasi yang mengalami suatu penyakit tertentu. Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prevalensi hipertensi usia remaja akhir di Puskesmas Medan Denai Kecamatan Medan Denai periode Juli 2018 sampai dengan Juli 2019. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dengan menganalisis hasil pengukuran tekanan darah pasien. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian total sampel pasien remaja akhir melakukan pemeriksaan tekanan darah di Puskesmas Medan Denai sebanyak 692 orang, ditemukan 25 kasus hipertensi dengan angka prevalensi 3,61% kasus tersebut terjadi pada 12 orang berjenis kelamin laki-laki (48%) dan 13 orang berjenis kelamin perempuan (52%) |
