dc.descriptionPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan konsep diri dengan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 04Medan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 129 siswa SMPMuhammadiyah 04 Medan. Dengan menggunakan teknik Probability Samplingdiperoleh sampel sebesar 98 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala, yang terdiri dari skala kepercayaan diri, konsep diri dan komunikasi interpersonal. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan Analisis Regresi Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis pertama ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan komunikasi interpersonal, koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,558dengan p < 0,000 dan R2 = 0,311, dengan konstribusi sebesar 31,1%. Hipotesis kedua menunjukkan bahwa Ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara konsep diri dengan komunikasi interpersonal,koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,531 dengan p < 0,000 dan R2 = 0,282 dengan konstribusi sebesar 28,2%. Kemudian hipotesis ketiga menunjukkan bahwa Ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dan konsep diri dengan komunikasi interpersonal dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,628 dengan p < 0,000 dan R2 = 0,395 dengan konstribusi sebesar 39,5%. Secara umum kepercayaan diri, konsep diri, dan komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 04 medan tergolong tinggi.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe study aims to discover the relationship between self-confidence and selfconcept towards interpersonal communication among students of Muhammadiyah 04 Junior High School, Medan. As the quantitative research, the total population of the study reaches up to 129 students. Then, by employing Probability Sampling technique, about 98 respondents are selected as the sample. Moreover, the collecting data technique splits into three scales, namely: the scale of selfconfidence, self-concept, and interpersonal communication. Also, the Multiple Regression Analysis was applied to fulfil the data analysing technique for research. The result reveals that hypothesis one is accepted with the coefficient correlation as much as 0.558; p < 0.000; R = 0.311 and the contribution as much as 31.1%. Thus, it indicates that there are a positive relationship and significance between self-confidence and interpersonal communication. The hypothesis two declares that there are a positive relationship and significance between selfconcept towards interpersonal communication. Similarly, the hypothesis two also accepted with the coefficient correlation as much as 0.531; p < 0.000; R = 0.282 and the contribution as much as 28.2%. Then again, the hypothesis three mentions that there are a positive relationship and significance between selfconfidence and self-concept towards interpersonal communication. Also, hypothesis three is accepted with the coefficient correlation as much as 0.628; p < 0.000; R = 0.395 and the contribution as much as 39.5%. To sum up, the selfconfidence, self-concept and interpersonal communication among students of Muhammadiyah 04 Junior High School, Medan is relatively high in general.en_US
