Perilaku Pemilih pada Pemilihan Umum Gubernur Sumatera Utara (PILGUBSU) Tahun 2018 di Kecamatan Galang

Abstract

This research will be based on research by the existence of a phenomenon that is interesting to note, that the victory of candidate Edy Rahmayadi and Musa Rajekshah in Galang. Galang , where is a town in multi ethnic and religiously. In Galang which has diverse ethnic or tribal like Bataks, Javanese, Minang, Aceh and other ethnic entrants. From the side of belief/religion, there are some religions that developed in the Galang side by side. Of course with general election voters, this directly, by using their voting right can determine with conscience and clear thinking who the figures are qualified and competent to fight for their aspirations Theories used in this study includes a description of the theory about the general election, the behavior of voters, and the participation of voters. The population of this research are the citizens who are domiciled in Galang and registered as voters in the general election in North Sumatra Province Governor the year 2018, and samples used in the study was 100 people. The research method used is a quantitative method. The results of research that based on the analysis and evaluation of the chi square test that it obtained show that religion (the sociological factors), image/figure of a candidate (psychological factors), and the achievements of the candidate (rational factors) have a significant relationship with the behavior of the voters at the general election the Governor of North Sumatra in Galang.
