Abstract

Civil servants are not only elements of the state apparatus but also servants of state and public servants who always live in the midst of society and work for the benefit of society as well. The position of Civil Servants (PNS) is very important and determine the success or failure of the mission of the government to organize the government in realizing the national ideals. Government Regulation number Fifty-three years two thousand ten concerning civil servant discipline is the legal basis to guarantee civil servants and can also be the basis for arranging the preparation of a good state apparatus and correct. The purpose of this study To determine the cause of violations of civil servant discipline at the Inspectorate Office of the City of Tanjungbalai and to find out the implementation of Government Regulation Number fifty-three years two thousand ten on the discipline of Civil Servants in the Inspectorate Office of the City of Tanjungbalai. This research uses qualitative research approach, data collection technique used in this research is documentation and interview. The cause of the violation of discipline of civil servants in the Inspectorate Office of the City of Tanjungbalai lack of awareness and responsibility as civil servants. Discipline in the Regional Inspectorate Tanjungbalai conducted in accordance with Government Regulation Number fifty-three years two thousand ten steps have been taken to implement the work discipline of civil servants in accordance with Government Regulation Number fifty-three years two thousand ten is to explain to employees and socialize about what the rights, obligations, prohibitions and sanctions contained in Government Regulation Number fifty three years two thousand ten.
