Analisis Kinerja Pelayanan Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan (PPL) pada Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Dairi

Abstract

Implementation of extension workers is expected to be able to bridge the phenomena that occur in the environment of farmers, fishermen with the development of science, both temporary and fixed. Extension agents as the spearhead in the service process is expected to provide good service with the wishes of the farm community and of course adapted to the geographical conditions. The extension agent in providing services may be considered as a transmitter or constituent in a national and regional program to be followed and implemented by farmers and fishermen, so that the programs are well underway. Extension workers at Dinas PertanianKair Dairi apply performance of services related to the work result, the speed of work done in accordance with the expectations of the community and the timeliness in completing the work. This study aims to analyze the Performance of Agricultural Extension Service (PPL) at the Department of Agriculture of Dairi Regency. The method used is descriptive kaulitataif with informant penelitain consisted of: agriculture department, agricultural field extension and farmers who joined in farmer group. Data analysis with qualitative descriptive analysis.The results of this study indicate that the Performance of Field Agricultural Extension Service (PPL) at Agriculture Department of Dairi Regency is seen from the aspect of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, competence, and accsess in general. running well, there is only one aspect of responsiveness, which has not fully satisfied the farmers in the district dairi. This is seen from the indicators in which Field Agricultural Extension (PPL) is not very active and competent in the approach to farmer group members. The Performance of Agricultural Extension Workers (PPL) at the Agriculture Office of Dairi Regency is closely related to the productivity level of farmers in order to support food self-sufficiency program, especially in Dairi Regency.
