| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Indonesia is an agricultural country, but ironically Indonesia is very fragile in food security. This can be seen from the 3 main commodities of rice, maize and soybean crops imported by Indonesia. For this reason, the government has set a special effort (upsus) for rice, corn and soybeans (pajale), one of which is the use of pajale as an intercropping on oil palm plantations. Technically, pajale can be planted in the oil palm TBM area, especially corn and soybeans. But the financial aspects of the economy have not been much studied. This study aims to examine the financial and economic analysis of corn and soybean intermittent crops on oil palm TBM; know the level of land use efficiency; and assesses the comparative efficiency of monoculture plants for palm oil and soybean plants for soybean and soybean plants in TB maritime plants. The study was conducted in the Sorolangun PPKS plantation in the Sorolangun District of Jambi. The research methods used include analysis of farming, Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), Return on Investments (ROI), Land Equivalent Ratio (LER), and Land Equivalent Optimize Ratio (LOER). The results showed that the corn and soybean crop systems of cassava seeds did not produce financially and economically feasible, with RCR values of 1.53 and 1.50 (superior and local soybean seeds), and RCR 2.03 and 1.49 (local and superior seed corn). The efficiency of the use of capital crops for corn and soybean in the first year before and after yielding seeds is quite high, with ROI values of 36.62% and 22.90% per planting season or ROI of 109.86% and 68.69% per year for corn seeds of superior and local seeds. For soybean plants, ROI values of 18.42% and 17.04% per planting season or ROI of 55.25% and 51.12% per year for superior and local seeds are obtained. While from the efficiency of land use, the LER value of corn and starch is 0.95 and 0.85 which shows that planting corn and soybean (effective land area of 7,200 m2 per palm oil) has a productivity of 95% and 85% when compared to monoculture plants, however LOER values of corn and soybeans per ha are 1.32 and 1.18, which shows that corn and soybean as intercropping in TBM are more efficient with the same area per hectare. Based on the comparison of indicators of the efficiency of land use, business, and capital use, corn plants as intercropping in TBM oil palm plantations are more profitable compared to soybean plants. | en_US |
