Evaluasi Perhitungan Kebutuhan Air Bersih Untuk Keperluan Air Minum Kawasan Perumahan Menteng Indah Kota Medan

Abstract

Menteng Indah Housing Area is one of the largest housing estates in Medan City in North Sumatra Province. This area is an area in the Southeast Medan District with a total of 856 housing units. The clean water needs of the Medan Denai Branch PDAM has a Reservoir capacity of 150 L/second serving 22 service areas, one of which is the Menteng Indah Housing Area, and where the Region itself has 645 SR customers (house connections). Based on the calculation results, the need for clean water during peak hours is 37.8 m3/hour while PDAM Medan Denai Branch is only able to distribute debit of 18.9 m3/hour, this results in the peak hours the PDAM customers will feel the impact of the discharge distribution decreases. After being evaluated, the need for clean non peak hour water also does not meet the standards applied where the clean water requirement for each person is 120 L/day, while the clean water provided by the PDAM is only 117 L/day.
