dc.description | Cuci tangan adalah salah satu cara untuk menjaga hegienitas tangan dan mencegah dan penyebaran infeksi. Staphylococcus aureus adalah bakteri patogen utama pada manusia dan salah satu bakteri tersering yang ada di telapak tangan. Baru-baru ini ditemukan cara terbaru untuk mencuci tangan yang lebih praktis, cepat, dan tanpa menggunakan air yaitu dengan hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer memiliki bahan antimikroba dan menurut beberapa penelitian pemakaian produk hand sanitizer dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktifitas antimikroba pada berbagai hand sanitizer yang mudah didapatkan di pasaran dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Pengujian sifat antimikroba ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode disc diffusion, yaitu dengan menginokulasi blank disc di atas agar Muller Hinton Agar yang telah dibiakkan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Hand sanitizer yang diuji berjumlah empat buah. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan didapatkan p > 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa uji ini dengan ditemukannya keempat buah hand sanitizer yang membentuk zona bening. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Hand washing is one the way to maintain hand hygiene and also prevent the transmission of infection. Staphylococcus aureus is the primary pathogen in humans and is one of the bacteria most found on palms of the hands. Recently, a new way of hand washing and much practical, faster and without water by using hand sanitizers was introduced. Hand sanitizer contains an antimicrobial effect. According to some studies done before, using hand sanitizers can inhibits bacterial growth. This study is done to find out the antimicrobial activity of various hand sanitizer that can be easily obtained in the market towards the inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus growth. The test used in this study is done by using disc diffusion method by inoculating disc on top of Muller Hinton Agar which already has Staphylococcus aureus on it. A total of four hand sanitizers was tested. Hypothesis test used in this study is complete randomized design tes and p value >0,05 was obtained. There was significancy that is shown by four hand sanitizer that made a inhibition zone. | en_US |
