Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial Dengan Penerimaan Diri Pada Remaja Pasca Perceraian Orangtua Di SMA Swasta Dharma Pancasila Medan

Abstract

This study aims to look at the relationship between social support and self-acceptance in adolescents after divorce from parents in the Dharma Pancasila Private High School Medan. The hypothesis proposed there is a positive relationship between social support with self-acceptance in adolescents after the divorce of parents in the Dharma Pancasila Private High School Medan as many as 40 students. The technique of taking sample data is to use purposive sampling which is taken using criteria of adolescent background of divorced parents obtained from the results of documentation from the school. Data collection methods are the scale of Social Support and Self-Acceptance. Data analysis uses Product Moment analysis. Research Results 1. There is a significant relationship between Social Support and Self-Acceptance. This is shown from the coefficient rxy = -0,873; p = 0.000 <0.050.01 which means that the higher the Social Support the higher the Self-Acceptance, and vice versa. Based on the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis was declared accepted. 2. There was a contribution of Social Support and Self-Acceptance of 76.3%. From these results it is known that there are still 23.7% there are other factors not examined in this researcher. Other known factors of self-acceptance such as age, education, intelligence, physical condition and parenting. It can be said that the subjects of this study were students of X-XII High School in Private Dharma Pancasia Medan, having high level of Social Support and high Self-Acceptance.
