dc.descriptionPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara konformitas dengan perilaku konsumtif pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi di Universitas Medan Area. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Jurusan Manajemen Universitas Medan Area stambuk 2018 yang berjumlah 1353 orang. Untuk menentukan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 93 orang. Hasil uji validitas pada variabel penelitian konformitas dan perilaku konsumtif diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat 2 item gugur dari masing-masing variabel. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach yang menghasilkan hasil uji reliabilitas sebesar 0,771 untuk variable konformitas dan 0,748 untuk variabel perilaku konsumtif. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Korelasi Product Moment, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara konformitas dengan variabel perilaku konsumtif dimana Rxy = 0,893 ; p= 0.000< 0,050. Dari hasil kolerasi ini, maka dapat dinyatakan hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima, artinya semakin tinggi konformitas maka akan semakin tinggi pula perilaku konsumtif pada mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen stambuk 2018 Fakultas Ekonomi di Universitas Medan Area dan hasil perhitungan koefisien determinan (r^2) dari hubungan diatas sebesar = 0.798, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen stambuk 2018 Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Medan Area dibentuk oleh variabel konformitas sebesar 79,8%.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to look at the relationship between conformity and consumptive behavior in the Faculty of Economics Students at Medan Area University. The research approach used is a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Department of Management, University of Medan, 2018 stambuk area, totaling 1353 people. To determine the number of samples in this study using a purposive sampling technique and calculated using the Slovin formula and the samples of this study were 93 people. The results of the validity test on the conformity and consumptive research variables obtained results that there are 2 items fall from each variable. The reliability test uses Cronbach's Alpha which results in a reliability test of 0.771 for the conformity variable and 0.748 for the consumer behavior variable. Based on the calculation of Product Moment Correlation, it is known that there is a significant positive relationship between conformity and consumptive behavior variables where Rxy = 0.893; p = 0,000 <0.050. From the results of this correlation, it can be stated that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted, meaning that the higher the conformity, the higher the consumptive behavior of students in the Management Department of the 2018 whip management at the University of Medan Area and the calculation of the determinant coefficient (r ^ 2) of the relationship above = 0.798, this shows that the consumer behavior of the 2018 whip management department of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Medan Area was formed by the conformity variable of 79.8%.en_US
