Partisipasi Perempuan dalam Kelembagaan Desa (Studi Pada Kantor Desa Perpanden Kecamatan Kutalimbaru)

Abstract

Perpanden Village is one of the villages in Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. Perpanden Village has a village institution which involves the village community to participate in and contribute to the village institution. The problem in this study is to describe women's participation in village institutions in the Perpanden Village Office, Kutalimbaru District, because the level of women's participation in Perpanden Village is still low. The purpose of this study was to analyze women's participation in village institutions in the Perpanden Village Office, Kutalimbaru District. Participation is the involvement of a person or group of people to play a role and be responsible in the community environment. In this study, women's participation in village institutions in the Perpanden Village Office was still low. This can be seen from the role, involvement and representation of women in management or functional structures in village institutions. Research on women’s participation in vilage institutions conducted at the Perpanden Village Office in Kutalimbaru District is a research that uses qualitative methods. For data collection, researchers conducted by direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity uses data triangulation and data analysis is carried out in several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and then conclusions drawn from research result. From the results of research conducted, it is known that the inhibiting factors of the role and level of women's participation in the Perpanden Village Office are still low due to several factors including educational factors, cultural factors, family factors, factors of women themselves, socialization or direction factors, and role factors local. To catch up, the efforts must be made to increase the participation of women in village institutions in the Perpanden Village Office in order to advance the women of Perpanden Village.
