Pola Komunikasi Guru Dalam Membentuk Akhlak Siswa Tunagrahita Sesuai Dengan Syariat Islam di SLB Melati Aisyiyah Deli Serdang

Abstract

The title of this research is Teacher Communication Patterns in Forming Student Morals in accordance with Islamic Sharia in SLB Melati Aisyiyah Deli Serdang. This research is motivated because the importance of early moral education for children is no exception for children with special needs such as mental retardation students who are still lacking in good morals. The condition of mentally retarded students who are not like normal students makes the process of moral character formation different. The process of teacher communication in shaping student morals to Allah SWT, to oneself, and to fellow human beings. Teachers must apply communication patterns that are appropriate to the conditions of mentally retarded students. This study uses the S-O-R theory and the Convergence theory. Data collection researchers conducted participant observation of class homeroom students with retarded class II and conducted nonparticipant observations of students' religious teachers. The researcher also conducted in-depth interviews with homeroom teachers and teachers of mentally retarded students, to justify the data obtained from observations and interviews in the field researchers also conducted interviews with the Principal of SLB Melati Aisyiyah. This study uses a qualitative research methodology with descriptive analysis. Researchers found two communication patterns applied by teachers in shaping the mental retardation of students, namely interpersonal communication patterns and one-way communication patterns using verbal and nonverbal.
