Hubungan Antara Motivasi Belajar Dengan Prestasi Belajar Pada Siswa SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan

Abstract

This study aims to look at the correlation of learning motivation with students' learning achievements at the Dharma Pancasila High School in Medan. The sample in this study was 50 Dharma Pancasila high school students whose learning achievement scores were below average 8. In line with the discussion in the theoretical basis, the hypothesis proposed in this study had a correlation between learning motivation and students' learning achievement at the Pancasila Dharma High School in Medan. Data collection was performed using a Likert scale. To test the proposed hypothesis is done using data analysis techniques using Product Moment analysis, with a rxy of 0.449 with a significant p = 0.000 <0.05 meaning that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning motivation with student achievement, which indicates that the higher motivation learning to eat will also be higher learning achievement. Conversely the lower the motivation to learn to eat the lower the learning achievement. Learning motivation in this study is high because (empirical mean = 96.74> hypothetical mean = 82.5 where the difference exceeds SD = 9, 348). Learning achievement is also quite high because (empirical mean = 77.54> hypothetical mean = 75 where the difference exceeds SD numbers = 3.118). The determinant coefficient (r ^ 2) of the correlation between the independent variable X and the dependent variable Y is r2 = 0.216. This shows that learning motivation contributes to learning achievement of 21.6%. Based on this research it can be seen that there are still 78.4% influence of other factors on learning achievement that is not revealed in this study.
