dc.description | Dalam dunia perkerasan jalan, bahan tambah sudah tidak asing lagi. Bahan tambah pada dasarnya berfungsi untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari campuran aspal. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lateks sebagai bahan tambah pada campuran karna lateks memiliki unsur yang dapat mendukung campuran aspal. Dan apabila hasilnya positif maka bahan tambah ini sangat dianjurkan untuk dunia perkerasan jalan terutama di Indonesia yang merupakan salah satu negara produsen karet terbanyak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara mencari Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO) dengan membuat sampel kadar aspal 5 – 7 % terlebih dahulu. Setelah didapat KAO nya, dimasukkan lateks dengan kadar 4 % dan 6 % dengan penumbukan 2 x 75 tumbukan. Untuk pencarian kadar aspal optimum, hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil yang baik karna memenuhi spesifikasi yaitu kadar aspal 5% nilai stabilitas nya sebesar 843 Kg, kadar aspal 5,5% sebesar 1010 Kg, kadar aspal 6% sebesar 1036 Kg, kadar aspal 6,50% sebesar 1015 Kg, dan kadar aspal 7% sebesar 825 Kg. Nilai rata-rata stabilitas pada pencarian nilai kadar aspal optimum (KAO) ini menunjukkan bahwa campuran aspal memenuhi spesifikasi. Namun pada penambahan kadar lateks tidak mendapatkan hasil yang baik. Nilai rata-rata stabilitas nya tidak memenuhi spesifikasi dimana nilai rata-rata untuk penambahan lateks dengan kadar 4 % mendapatkan hasil sebesar 656 Kg dan 6% sebesar 651 Kg. Hasil ini tidak memenuhi spesifikasi minimum nilai stabilitas yaitu sebesar 800 Kg. Dan dari nilai ini didapat kesimpulan bahwa semakin banyak kadar lateks maka nilai stabilitas semakin menurun. Sehingga lateks dengan tidak dapat digunakan untuk bahan tambah pada campuran AC – WC. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | In the world of road pavement, added materials are no longer foreign. The added material basically serves to improve the quality of the asphalt mixture. In this study using latex as an additive to the mixture because latex has elements that can support the asphalt mixture. And if the results are positive, this added material is highly recommended for the world of road pavement, especially in Indonesia, which is one of the largest rubber producing countries. The research was carried out by finding the optimal asphalt content (KAO) by making samples of asphalt content 5 - 7% first. After obtaining the KAO, latex was added with levels of 4% and 6% with a collision of 2 x 75. For the search for optimum asphalt content, the results showed good results because it met specifications, namely asphalt content 5%, stability value of 843 kg, asphalt content of 5.5% of 1010 kg, asphalt content of 6% of 1036 kg, asphalt content of 6.50 % as much as 1015 Kg, and 7% asphalt content of 825 Kg. The average value of stability in the search for the optimum asphalt content (KAO) indicates that the asphalt mixture meets specifications. However, the addition of latex content did not get good results. The average value of its stability does not meet the specifications where the average value for the addition of latex with a level of 4% gets the results of 656 Kg and 6% of 651 Kg. This result does not meet the minimum specification for the stability value of 800 Kg. And from this value it can be concluded that the more latex content, the lower the stability value. So that latex cannot be used as additives in the AC - WC mixture. | en_US |
