Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan disiplin guru yang sertifikasi dan belum sertifikasi di SMP Negeri Kota Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru SMP Negeri di Kota Medan yang berstatuskan sertifikasi dan belum sertifikasi. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 guru, sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala psikologi yaitu skala disiplin guru. Teknik analisis yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik Alpha. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien F=3,324 dengan P=0,001 (P<0,05), artinya tidak ada perbedaan disiplin guru sertifikasi dan guru yang belum sertifikasi di SMP Negeri Kota Medan. Dengan hasil tersebut, hipotesis dalam penelitian ini yaitu adanya perbedaan disiplin guru sertifikasi dan belum sertifikasi di SMP Negeri Medan tidak dapat diterima. Dikarenakan guru yang sertifikasi dan guru yang belum sertifikasi sama-sama dituntut harus tampil profesional dalam menjalankan tugasnya utama mendidik, mengajar, membimbing, mengarahkan, melatih, dan mengevaluasi peserta didik. Sehingga sertifikasi tidak mempengaruhi disiplin guru yang sertifikasi ataupun belum sertifikasi. Mean empirik disiplin guru yang sertifikasi diperoleh yaitu 90,29 sedangkan mean empirik disiplin guru belum sertifikasi sebesar 76,04, lalu untuk mean hipotetik disiplin gurunya sebesar 75. This study aims to determine the differences in the discipline of certified and noncertified teachers in SMP Negeri Medan. The population of this study were teachers of SMP Negeri in Medan City with certification and non-certification. The research sample 100 teacher, the sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. This study uses a psychological scale, namely the scale of teacher discipline. The analysis technique used is alpha technique. The result of this study indicated the coefficient of F=3,324 with P 0.001 (P>0.05), meaning that there is no difference in the discipline of certified teachers and teachers who have not been certified at SMP Negeri Medan city. With the result, the hypothesis in this study is that there are differences in the discipline of certification and non-certification teachers in SMP Negeri Medan which cannot be accepted. This is because teachers who are certified and teachers who have not been certified are both required to appear professional in carrying their main duties of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, and evaluating students. So that certification does not affect the discipline of yet certified. The empirical mean for teacher discipline that was certified was 90.29, while the empirical mean for teacher discipline that had not been certified was 76.06. then for the hypothetical mean of teacher discipline of 75.
