Analisis Usaha Pembibitan Benih Kopi Bersertifikat Varietas Sigarar Utang di Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Provinsi Sumatera Utara termasuk salah satu provinsi penghasil kopi di Indonesia. Sumber benih kopi di Sumatera Utara berasal dari jenis arabika Sigarar Utang yang dimiliki seorang petani bernama Awaluddin Sitompul di Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara dan telah ditetapkan melalui Surat Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Perkebunan Nomor 33/KPTS/KB.020/5/2016 tanggal 31 Mei 2016 sebagai benih kopi yang bersertifikat. Pengembangan perkebunan kopi yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah ke depan membutuhkan benih kopi yang banyak sementara pengusaha benih kopi sangat terbatas. Salah satu alasan mengapa masyarakat/petani enggan berbisnis di bidang pembenihan kopi adalah kekhawatiran mengalami kerugian. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis usaha di bidang pembenihan kopi. Melalui mtode wawancara telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap 6 (enam), yaitu CV. Wana Bhakti, KPT. Sahabat Sejati, UD. Radot, Awaluddin Sitompul, CV. Putra Perkasa dan CV.Dharma Nusantara yang berada di Tapanuli Utara dan Pematang Siantar. Hasil analisis usaha menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan produsen benih kopi yang diteliti memiiki keuntungan yang sangat besar yang ditunjukkan dengan pendapatan bersih dari 6 prodosen kopi masing-masing sebesar Rp. 429.945.000, Rp. 277.805.000, Rp. 329.845.000, Rp. 288.127.000, Rp. 272.199.000, dan Rp. 719.285.000. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat merangsang masyarakat/petani untuk melakukan bisnis di bidang pembenihan kopi bersertifikat sehingga dapat membantu pemerintah dalam penyediaan benih kopi sigaragar utang bersertifikat untuk pengembangan perkebunan kopi di Sumatera Utara. North Sumatra Province is one of the coffee producing provinces in Indonesia. The development of coffee plantations carried out by the Government in the future requires a lot of coffee seeds while coffee seed entrepreneurs are very limited. One of the reasons why people/farmers are reluctant to do business in the field of coffee hatchery is the fear of experiencing losses. Therefore this research was conducted which aims to analyze the business in the field of coffee hatchery. Through the interview method, 6 (six) studies were conducted, namely CV. Wana Bhakti, KPT. Sahabat Sejati, UD. Radot, Awaluddin Sitompul, CV. Putra Perkasa and CV.Dharma Nusantara located in North Tapanuli and Pematang Siantar. The results of the business analysis showed that the entire coffee seed producers studied had very large profits as indicated by the net income of 6 coffee producers each of Rp. 429,945,000, Rp. 277,805,000, Rp. 329,845,000, Rp. 288,127,000, Rp. 272,199,000 and Rp. 719,285,000. The results of this study are expected to stimulate the community/farmers to do business in the field of certified coffee hatchery so that it can help the government in providing coffee seeds for the development of coffee plantations in North Sumatra.
