Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out about subjective well-being of married couples who do not have offspring in the city of Banda Aceh. The design of this study is phenomenological. Respondents in the study were three married couples accompanied by three informants as a source of triangulation of information. The technique of taking respondents using purposive sampling. Research data were collected through interviews and observation. Data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data display and verification. The results showed: 1) Respondent 1, although they have adopted children, they have not yet felt subjective well-being. Respondent 2 is still able to feel subjective well-being even though they do not have children. Respondent 3 after adopting a child, can increasingly experience subjective well-being. 2) For the aspect of subjective well-being of respondent 1, they have not felt life satisfaction because more negative affections appear than positive affections. Respondents 2 and 3 have the satisfaction of living in a household, because there are many positive affections rather than negative affections, so respondents 2 and 3 can feel subjective well-being. 3) Respondents 1 Internal factors and external factors, namely health, the location of the wife's womb far away makes the wife difficult to get pregnant and the lack of support from large families so that respondent 1 has not felt subjective well-being. Respondents 2 and 3 Internal factors and external factors influence subjective well-being, but both respondents get support from extended families, so respondents 2 and 3 can experience subjective well-being. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang Kesejahteraan subjektif pada pasangan suami istri yang belum memiliki keturunan di kota Banda Aceh. Desain penelitian ini adalah fenomenologis. Responden dalam penelitian adalah tiga pasangan suami istri disertai dengan tiga Informan sebagai sumber triangulasi informasi. Teknik pengambilan responden menggunakan purposive sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Responden 1 meskipun sudah mengadopsi anak, namun belum belum merasakan kesejahteraan subjektif. Responden 2 tetap mampu merasaka kesejahteraan subjektif meskipun belum memiliki keturunan. Responden 3 setelah mengadopsi anak, semakin dapat merasakan kesejahteraan subjektif. 2) Untuk aspek kesejahteraan subjektif responden 1 belum merasakan kepuasan hidup karena lebih banyak muncul afeksi negatif daripada afeksi positif. Responden 2 dan 3 memiliki kepuasan hidup dalam berumah tangga, karena banyak afeksi positif daripada afeksi negatif, sehingga responden 2 dan 3 dapat merasakan kesejahteraan subjektif. 3) Responden 1 Faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yaitu kesehatan, letak rahim istri yang jauh membuat istri sulit hamil dan kurangnya dukungan dari keluarga besar sehingga responden 1 belum merasakan kesejahteraan subjektif. Responden 2 dan 3 Faktor internal dan faktor eksternal mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subjektif, namun kedua responden mendapatkan dukungan dari keluarga besar, sehingga responden 2 dan 3 dapat merasakan kesejahteraan subjektif.
