Kesejahteraan Subjektif Ayah Yang Memiliki Anak Autisme

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how subjective the welfare of fathers who have children with autism. This study used qualitative research methods. The characteristics of the respondents were the father who had a son who was diagnosed with autism. The number of respondents in this study was 2 people. Data collection techniques using interview and observation methods. The onset of autism in the two respondent children was caused because the child could not communicate like a normal child his age. The results of this study indicate that the picture of subjective well-being can be seen from the process through which the two respondents began from feeling sad to the stage where the respondents remained patient. Respondents 1 and 2 were able to pass and assess each process that was passed through in their lives, having children with autism impaired did not make the two respondents unable to feel happiness, despite the changing habits that were passed by the two respondents. Respondent 1 has quite good subjective well-being because the presence of children with autism disorder does not make respondent 1 drag on in grief, the process through which respondent 1 starts from feeling sad, upset, angry until at the respondent stage 1 prioritizes his child and is happy with work and its activities. Respondent 2 has a fairly good subjective well-being because at the beginning he knew that children with autism problems respondents 2 felt sad but the respondents were steadfast, patient and remained motivated to be able to fulfill their needs and guarantee their children's future.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kesejahteraan subjektif ayah yang memiliki anak autisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Karakteristik responden adalah ayah yang memiliki anak laki-laki yang didiagnosis autisme. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 2 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Awal terjadinya autisme pada kedua anak responden disebabkan karena anak tidak dapat berkomunikasi seperti anak normal seusianya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran kesejahteraan subjektif dapat dilihat dari proses yang dilalui kedua responden mulai dari merasa sedih sampai pada tahap dimana responden tetap sabar. Responden 1 dan 2 mampu melewati dan menilai setiap proses yang dilalui dalam hidupnya, memiliki anak gangguan autisme tidak membuat kedua responden tidak dapat merasakan kebahagiaan, meskipun adanya perubahan kebiasaan yang dilalui kedua responden. Responden 1 memiliki kesejahteraan subjektif cukup baik karena dengan adanya anak dengan gangguan autisme tidak membuat responden 1 berlarut-larut dalam bersedih, proses yang dilalui responden 1 mulai dari merasa sedih, kesal, marah sampai pada tahap responden 1 lebih memprioritaskan anaknya dan bahagia dengan pekerjaan dan aktivitasnya. Responden 2 memiliki kesejahteraan subjektif cukup baik karena pada awal mengetahui anak mengalami gangguan autisme responden 2 merasa sedih namun responden tabah, sabardan tetap termotivasi untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan menjamin masa depan anaknya.
