dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empirik hubungan antara dukungan teman sebaya dan kontrol diri dengan kenakalan remaja pada siswa di SMA Dharmawangsa. Populasi sebanyak 432 orang dan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan Proposional Stratified Sampling. yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah 154 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah instrumen kenakalan remaja yang disusun menggunakan faktor-faktor kenakalan remaja yaitu identitas, usia, jenis kelamin, proses keluarga, pengaruh teman sebaya, kelas sosial ekonomi rendah (kemiskinan), kualitas lingkungan sekitar tempat tinggal (α = 0,914), instrumen dukungan teman sebaya yang disusun menggunakan aspek dukungan emosional, dukungan penghargaan, dukungan instrumental, dan dukungan informatif (α = 0,928) dan instrumen kontrol diri yang disusun menggunakan aspek kontrol pemikiran, kontrol emosi, kontrol dorongan sesaat, regulasi performansi, menghilangkan kebiasaan buruk (α = 0,920). Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi berganda. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan kenakalan remaja SMA Swasta Dharmawangsa Medan, artinya semakin tinggi dukungan teman sebaya yang positif maka semakin rendah kenakalan remaja siswa SMA Swasta Dharmawangsa, ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kontrol diri dengan kenakalan remaja SMA Swasta Dharmawangsa, artinya semakin tinggi kontrol diri maka semakin rendah kenakalan remaja siswa SMA Swasta Dhamawangsa dan ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan teman sebaya dan kontrol diri dengan kenakalan remaja, artinya semakin tinggi dukungan teman sebaya yang positif dan semakin tinggi kontrol diri maka semakin rendah kenakalan remaja siswa SMA Dharmawangsa Medan. This study aims to determine empirically the relationship of peer support and self control with juvenile delinquency in students in Dharmawangsa Private High School. The population was 432 people and the sampling technique was using Proposional Stratified Sampling. the sample of this research is 154 people. Measuring instruments used were juvenile delinquency instruments compiled using factors of juvenile delinquency namely identity, age, gender, family processes, peer influence, low socioeconomic class (poverty), quality of the environment around the residence (α = 0.914), peer support instruments compiled using aspects of emotional support, appreciation support, instrumental support, and informative support (α = 0.928) and self-control instruments compiled using aspects of thought control, emotional control, momentary impulse control, performance regulation, eliminating bad habits (α = 0.920). Data analysis uses multiple regression techniques. As for the results of study, there is a significant negative relationship between peer support and the juvenile deliquency of Dharmawangsa Private High School, it means that the higher the positive peer support, the lower the juvenile deliquency of Dharmawangsa private high school, there is a significant negative relationship beetween self control and juvenile deliquency of Dharmawangsa Private High School, it means that the higher the self control, the lower the juvenile deliquency of Dharmawangsa private high school, and there is a significant negative relationship between peer support and self control with juvenile deliquency of Dharmawangsa private high school, it means that the higher the positive peer support and the higher the self control, the lower the juvenile deliquency of Dharmawangsa private high school.en_US
