Abstract: Dalam perkembangan duuia pertelekomunikasian saat ini, sistem cellular berkembang demikian pesatnya. Laju pertumbuhari pelanggan bergerak (cellular) lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan pelanggan telepon fix (PSTN). Sistem telepon cellular yang paling pesat pertumbuham1ya adalah sistem GSM 900/DCS 18 00. Hingga kini sitem GSM 900/DCS 1800 sudah memasuki ke generasi ketiga, yang mana pelayanan untuk voice, data, video, internet serta text secant bergerak sangat dibutuhkan dan sudah dapat disediakan. Sesuai dengan sifat pengguna telepon bergerak yang selalu aktif dan dinamis, maka sangat banyak keuntungan yang diperoleh dan dirasakan oleh para pengguna telepon. In the current development of the telecommunications world, the cellular system is developing so rapidly. The growth rate of mobile subscribers (cellular) is more higher than the growth in fixed telephone subscribers (PSTN). The fastest growing cellular telephone system is the GSM 900 / DCS 18 00 system.
