Abstract: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area yang berlokasi di Desa Sampali Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan sejak bulan Juli hingga September 1999, dengan ketinggian tempat ± 30 meter di atas permukaan laut, jenis tanah Alluvial dan bertopografi datar. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan, yaitu: 1. Faktor pemanasan suhu yang berbeda (notasi P). 2. Faktor konsentrasi gibberellin (notasi G). Adapun variabel penelitian yang diamati terdiri dari persentase kecambah (% ), persentase kecambah stadium serdadu (%), persentase kecambah stadium kepelan (%), panjang hipokotil (cm) dan persentase kecambah yang hidup (%). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area, located in Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan District from July to September 1999, with an altitude of ± 30 meters above sea level, allluvial soil types and flat topography. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two treatment factors, namely: 1. Different heating factors (P notation). 2. The gibberellin concentration factor (G notation). The research variables observed consisted of the percentage of sprouts (%), the percentage of sprouts at the soldier's stage (%), the percentage of sprouts at the soft stage (%), the length of the hypocotyl (cm) and the percentage of live sprouts (%).
