Abstract: Zul Padli Nasution. 158210055. Growth and Production Response of Long Bean (Vigna sinensis L.) Plants to the Provision of Banana Stem Compost and Rice Husk Biochar. This thesis under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Sumihar Hutapea, M.S, as Advisor I and Dr. Ir. Suswati, MP as supervisor II. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the response to growth and production of long bean (Vigna sinensis L.) against the provision of rice husk biochar and banana stem waste compost. The research was conducted at the Experimental Field at the Faculty of Agriculture, Medan Area University, PBSI Street, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the provision of rice husk biochar with 4 levels of treatment, namely: B0: without biochar, B1: rice husk biochar 5 ton ha−1 (0.954 kg/m2), B2: rice husk biochar 10 ton ha−1 (1.89 kg/m2), B3: rice husk biochar 15 ton ha−1 (2.835 kg/m2) and the second factor is banana stem compost with 4 levels of treatment, namely: K0: without stem compost Banana, K1: compost of banana stems 5 ton ha−1 (0.954 kg/m2), K2: compost of banana stems 10 ton ha−1 (1.89 kg/m2), K3: compost of banana stems 15 ton ha−1 (2,835 kg/m²). This research was conducted with 2 replications. Observation parameters were: plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of branches, number of pods per sample, pod length per sample, pod weight per sample, pod weight plots.he results showed that: 1) The provision of rice husk biochar had no significant effect on the parameter of pod weight per plot and had a significant effect on other observation parameters. 2) Application of banana stem compost had no significant effect on the number of branches and pod boot per plot and had a significant effect on other observation parameters. 3) The results of the combination analysis of the two factors had no significant effect on the number of leaves, number of branches, weight of pods per sample and weight of pods per plot. Terhadap Pemberian Kompos Batang Pisang dan Biochar Sekam Padi. Skripsi ini dibawah bimbingan Dr. Ir. Sumihar Hutapea, M.S, selaku Pembimbing I dan Dr. Ir. Suswati, MP selaku pembimbing II. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data respon pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kacang panjang (Vigna sinensis L.) terhadap pemberian biochar sekam padi dan kompos limbah batang pisang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area, Jalan PBSI, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah pemberian Biochar sekam padi dengan 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu B0: tanpa biochar, B1: biochar sekam padi 5 ton ha−1 (0,954 kg/m), B2: biochar sekam padi 10 ton ha−1 (1,89 kg/m), B3: biochar sekam padi 15 ton ha−1 (2,835 kg/m) dan faktor kedua yaitu pemberian Kompos batang pisang dengan 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0: tanpa kompos batang Pisang, K1: kompos batang pisang 5 ton ha−1 (0,954 kg/m), K2: kompos batang pisang 10 ton ha−1 (1,89 kg/m), K3: kompos batang pisang 15 ton ha−1 (2,835 kg/m). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 2 ulangan. Parameter pengamatan yaitu: tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, jumlah cabang, jumlah polong per sampel, panjang polong per sampel, bobot polong per sampel, bobot polong plot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pemberian biochar sekam padi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter bobot polong per plot serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan lainnya. 2) Pemberian Kompos Batang pisang berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah cabang dan boot polong per plot serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan lainnya. 3) Hasil analisa kombinasi kedua faktor berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, bobot polong per sampel dan bobot polong per plot. Serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan lainnya.
