Abstract: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dikebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area yang berlokasi dijalan Kolam No. 1 Medan Estate, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, mulai bulan Februari hingga Juli 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan data kemampuan kompos jantung pisang Barangan yang berkombinasi dengan Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular dalam pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung Manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). Penelitian ini mengunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RBD) faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan. Perlakuan faktor 1 fungi mikoriza arbuskular (AMF) yaitu: M0 = Kontrol (tanpa perlakuan), M1=5 g/ tanaman, M2=7,5 g/ tanaman, M3=10 g/ tanaman, M4=12,5 g/ tanaman dan perlakuan faktor 2 kompos jantung pisang Barangan yaitu : J0=control (tanpa perlakuan) J1=0,54 kg/ plot (5 ton ha), J2=1,08 kg/plot (10 ton ha), J3=1,62 kg/plot (15 ton ha), J4=2,16 kg/plot (20 ton ha). Diulang sebanyak 2 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, diameter batang, umur berbunga, produksi tanaman sampel perplot, produksi perplot, pengamatan OPT, efektivitas aplikasi perlakuan, persentase kolonisasi, dan intensitas kolonisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pemberian fungi mikoriza arbuskular (AMF) berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman jagung manis yang meliputi luas daun, produksi tanaman sampel perplot dan produksi perplot. Pemberian kompos jantung pisang barang tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis, dan perlakuan kombinasi antara fungi mikoriza arbuskular (AMF) dan kompos jantung pisang barangan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Medan Area University, which is located on Jalan Pond No. 1 Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, from February to July 2020. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the compostability of Barangan banana buds in combination with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in the growth and production of Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt ). This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 treatment factors. Treatment of factor 1 arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) were: M0 = Control (without treatment), M1=5 g/plant, M2=7.5 g/plant, M3=10 g/plant, M4=12.5 g/plant and factor 2 treatment of Barangan banana bud compost, namely: J0=control (without treatment) J1=0.54 kg/plot (5 ton ha), J2=1.08 kg/plot (10 ton ha), J3=1.62 kg/plot (15 tons ha), J4=2.16 kg/plot (20 tons ha). Repeated as much as 2 repetitions. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, age of flowering, production of plant samples per plot, production per plot, observation of pests, effectiveness of treatment application, percentage of colonization, and intensity of colonization. The results showed that: the application of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) had a significant effect on the vegetative growth of sweet corn plants which included leaf area, production of plant samples per plot and production per plot. The application of banana bud compost did not significantly affect the growth and production of sweet corn plants, and the combination treatment between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and Barangan banana flower compost did not significantly affect the growth and production of sweet corn plants.
