dc.description.abstract | Tingkat kadar garam yang terlalu tinggi menyebabkan menurunnya produktivitas tanah pada daerah pinggir pantai atau coastal area. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian amelioran pada tanah salin dan jarak tanah salin dari bibir pantai yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial, terdiri dari 2 (dua) faktor perlakuan, yakni: 1) Amelioran (P), terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu: P0=tanpa perlakuan (NPK Mutiara sebanyak 12,5 g/polibag), P1=bokashi blotong tebu (20 ton/ha atau setara dengan 50 g/polibag), P2=bokashi apu-apu (20 ton/ha atau setara dengan 50 g/polibag), P3=bokashi daun mangrove (20 ton/ha atau setara dengan 50 g/polibag); dan 2) Tanah Salin (S), terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu: S0=tanah top soil, S1=500 m dari tepi pantai, S2=1000 m dari tepi pantai, S3=1500 m dari tepi pantai, masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 2 (dua) kali. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan beberapa jenis amelioran berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, berat basah tanaman dan berat kering tanaman tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun, jumlah umbi, susut bobot. Penggunaan bokashi apu-apu memberikan respon yang lebih baik bagi tanaman dibandingkan bokashi blotong tebu dan mangrove. Untuk memanfaatkan tanah salin sebagai media tanaman sebaiknya harus berjarak minimal 1500 meter dari bibir pantai, agar tanaman dapat meminimalisir kandungan Na dan Cl yang ada dipasir pantai. The level of salt content that is too high causes a decrease in soil productivity in coastal areas. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of giving ameliorant on saline soil and the best distance of saline soil from the shoreline on the growth and production of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.). The study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK), consisting of 2 (two) treatment factors, namely: 1) Ameliorant (P), consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely: P0 = no treatment (NPK Mutiara 12.5 g/polybag ), P1=bokashi blotong sugarcane (20 tons/ha or equivalent to 50 g/polybag), P2=apu-apu bokashi (20 tons/ha or equivalent to 50 g/polybag), P3=mangrove leaf bokashi (20 tons/ ha or equivalent to 50 g/polybag); and 2) saline soil (S), consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely: S0 = top soil, S1 = 500 m from the beach, S2 = 1000 m from the beach, S3 = 1500 m from the beach, respectively. The treatment was repeated 2 (two) times. The results of this study were the use of several types of ameliorant had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, plant wet weight and plant dry weight but had no significant effect on number of leaves, number of tubers, weight loss. The use of apu-apu bokashi gave a better response to plants than sugarcane and mangrove bokashi. To utilize saline soil as a plant medium, it should be at least 1500 meters away from the shoreline, so that plants can minimize the Na and Cl content in the beach sand. | en_US |
