dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kompos jerami padi dan nutrisi irigasi tetes terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) yang dilaksankan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area Jalan Kolam No.1 Medan Estate Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan dengan ketinggian 22 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl), topografi datar dengan jenis tanah alluvial, sejak bulan Juni sampai dengan September 2020. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan, yaitu: 1) Perlakuan pemberian kompos jerami padi (notasi P), Perlakuan pemberian kompos jerami padi terdiri atas 4 taraf perlakuan, yakni: P0=tanpa pemberian kompos jerami padi; P1=pemberian kompos jerami padi 20 g per polibeg; P2=pemberian kompos jerami padi 40 g per polibeg; P3=pemberian kompos jerami padi 60 g per polibeg; dan 2) Perlakuan nutrisi irigasi tetes (notasi N) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yakni: N0=tanpa nutrisi AB mix; N1=pemberian nutrisi AB Mix 800 ppm; N2=pemberian nutrisi AB mix 1000 ppm; N3=pemberian nutrisi AB mix 1200 ppm. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 2 kali. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter daun, jumlah umbi, diameter umbi, berat basah umbi dan berat kering umbi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, yakni: 1) Pemberian kompos jerami padi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun, tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah umbi dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter umbi, dan diameter daun. Perlakuan P2 dengan pemberian 40 g per polibeg merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk diaplikasikan pada tanaman bawang merah; 2) Pemberian nutrisi irigasi tetes padi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun, tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah umbi dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter umbi, dan diameter daun. Perlakuan N3 dengan pemberian 1200 ppm per polibeg merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk diaplikasikan pada tanaman bawang merah; dan 3) Kombinasi kompos jerami padi dengan nutrisi irigasi tetes memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter yang diamati. This study aims to determine the effect of rice straw compost and drip irrigation nutrition on the vegetative and generative growth of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) which was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area Jalan Pond No.1 Medan Estate Percut Sei Tuan District. an altitude of 22 meters above sea level (masl), flat topography with alluvial soil types, from June to September 2020. This research was carried out using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) which consisted of 2 treatment factors, namely: 1) The treatment of giving rice straw compost (P notation), The treatment of giving rice straw compost consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely: P0 = without giving rice straw compost; P1 = giving 20 g of rice straw compost per polybag; P2 = giving 40 g of rice straw compost per polybag; P3 = giving 60 g of rice straw compost per polybag; and 2) nutrient treatment of drip irrigation (N notation) consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely: N0=without AB mix nutrition; N1 = AB Mix 800 ppm nutrition; N2 = 1000 ppm AB mix nutrition; N3 = 1200 ppm AB mix nutrition. Each treatment was repeated 2 times. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf diameter, number of tubers, tuber diameter, tuber wet weight and tuber dry weight. The results obtained from this study, namely: 1) The addition of rice straw compost had no significant effect on plant height and number of leaves, but had a significant effect on the number of tubers and had a very significant effect on tuber diameter and leaf diameter. P2 treatment by giving 40 g per polybag is the best treatment to be applied to shallot plants; 2) The provision of nutrients for drip irrigation did not significantly affect plant height and number of leaves, but significantly affected the number of tubers and had a very significant effect on tuber diameter and leaf diameter. The N3 treatment with 1200 ppm per polybag was the best treatment to be applied to shallot plants; and 3) Combination of rice straw compost with drip irrigation nutrients gave no significant effect on all observed parameters. | en_US |
