dc.description.abstract | Stres akademik adalah suatu kondisi atau keadaan dimana terjadi ketidaksesuaian antara tuntutan lingkungan dengan sumber daya aktual yang dimiliki siswa sehingga mereka semakin terbebani oleh berbagai tuntutan dan tekanan. Faktor penyebab stres akademik pada siswa menurut Alvin (2007) yaitu faktor internal (pola pikir, kepribadian, dan keyakinan); faktor eksternal (pelajaran lebih padat, dorongan untuk berprestasi tinggi, dorongan status sosial, serta orangtua saling berlomba). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab stres akademik pada siswa SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 63 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Screening Test. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Stres Akademik yang terdiri dari 23 aitem. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis faktorial dengan statistik deskriptif dalam bentuk persen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis faktorial menunjukan kontribusi faktor penyebab stres akademik pada siswa meliputi: tekanan untuk prestasi tinggi sebesar 0.649 atau 19%, kepribadian sebesar 0.591 atau 17%, dorongan status sosial sebesar 0.591 atau 17%, keyakinan sebesar 0.525 atau 15%, pelajaran lebih padat sebesar 0.495 atau 14%, pola pikir sebesar 0.415 atau 12%, dan orangtua saling berlomba sebesar 0.217 atau 6%. Academic stress is a condition or situation where there is a mismatch between environmental demands and the actual resources owned by students so that they are increasingly burdened by various demands and pressures. Factors causing academic stress in students according to Alvin (2007) are internal factors (thought patterns, personality, and beliefs); external factors (more dense lessons, encouragement for high achievement, encouragement of social status, and parents competing with each other). This study aims to determine the factors that cause academic stress in the students of SMA Budisatrya Medan. The subjects of this study were 63 students. Sampling technique using Screening Test. Data were collected using the Academic Stress scale consisting of 23 items. Data analysis in this study used factorial analysis with descriptive statistics in the form of percent. Based on the results of factorial analysis, the contribution of factors causing academic stress to students includes: pressure for high achievement of 0.649 or 19%, personality of 0.591 or 17%, social status encouragement of 0.591 or 17%, confidence of 0.525 or 15%, more dense lessons by 0.495 or 14%, mindset by 0.415 or 12%, and parents competing with each other by 0.217 or 6%. | en_US |
