Hubungan Penerimaan Peer Group Dengan Kepercayaan Diri Pada Siswa/Siswi Baru SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Penerimaan Peer Group Dengan Kepercayaan Diri Pada Siswa/Siswi Baru SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, subjek penelitian adalah siswa/siswi yang kepercayaan diri berusia 14-15 tahun di SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 302 siswa/siswi. Sejalan dengan pembahasan yang ada dalam landasan teori, maka hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan penerimaan peer group dengan kepercayaan diri. Dengan asumsi semakin tinggi penerimaan peer group maka semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri dan semakin rendah penerimaan peer group maka semakin rendah kepercayaan diri. Alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 alat ukur yaitu skala penerimaan peer group dan skala kepercayaan diri. Hasil ini diketahui dengan melihat mean hipotetik kepercayaan diri 120 dan penerimaan peer group 110 kemudian mean empirik kepercayaan diri 154,34 dan penerimaan peer group 141,23. Nilai atau koefisien dimana koefisien yaitu 0,854 dengan signifikansi p = 0,000<0,050, dengan bobot sumbangan 72,9%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara penerimaan peer group dan kepercayaan diri. Selain itu, hasil tersebut juga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis awal penelitian ini diterima yaitu ada hubungan positif antara penerimaan peer group dengan kepercayaan diri pada siswa/siswi baru SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane.

This study aims to see the relationship between Peer Group Acceptance and Confidence in New Students at SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane. This study uses quantitative research methods, the research subjects are confident students aged 14-15 years at SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane. The number of samples in this study were 302 students. In line with the discussion in the theoretical basis, the hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between peer group acceptance and selfconfidence. Assuming the higher the peer group acceptance, the higher the selfconfidence and the lower the peer group acceptance, the lower the self-confidence. The data collection tool in this study consisted of 2 measuring instruments, namely the peer group acceptance scale and the self-confidence scale. This result is known by looking at the hypothetical mean of 120 self-confidence and 110 peer group acceptance, then the empirical mean of self-confidence is 154.34 and peer group acceptance is 141.23. The value or coefficient where the coefficient is 0.854 with a significance of p = 0.000 <0.050, with a contribution weight of 72.9%. This shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between peer group acceptance and self-confidence. In addition, these results also indicate that the initial hypothesis of this study was accepted, namely that there was a positive relationship between peer group acceptance and self-confidence in the new students of SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane.
