Hubungan Antara Harga Diri Dengan Perilaku Asertif Pada Siswa pengguna Vape di SMA Swasta Methodist - 5 Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara harga diri dengan perilaku asertif pada siswa SMA Swasta Methodist-5 Medan. Perilaku asertif adalah perilaku antarperorangan (interpersonal) yang melibatkan aspek kejujuran dan keterbukaan pikiran dan perasaan. Harga diri adalah evaluasi diri yang dibuat oleh setiap individu, sikap orang terhadap dirinya sendiri dalam rentang dimensi positif sampai negatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Swasta Methodist-5 Medan. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 130 siswa kelas XI SMA Swasta Methodist-5 Medan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 orang siswa yang memenuhi syarat dalam penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua analisis data yaitu korelasi pearson product moment untuk uji validitas data dan f persen untuk analisis hasil. Reliabilitas menggunakan teknik koefisien alpha cronbrach. Reliabilitas item perilaku asertif sebesar 0,948 dan reliabilitas item harga diri sebesar 0,768. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan positif antara harga diri dengan perilau asertif. Dengan asum-si bahwa semakin tinggi harga diri maka akan semakin tinggi perilau asertif siswa tersebut, demikian sebaliknya semakin rendah harga diri siswa maka akan se-makin rendah perilaku asertif siswa tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan skala Likert. Untuk menguji Hipotesis yang diajukan dilakukan dengan koefisien korelasi Rxy = 0,535; p= 0,000<0,05. Artinya ada hubungan antara harga diri dengan perilaku asertif. Jadi, antara kedua variabel ada hubungan sebab - akibat. Dari hasil yang diperoleh ini, maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa hipotesa yang diajukan, diterima. Assertive behavior is interpersonal behavior that involves aspects of honesty and openness of mind and feelings. Self-esteem is a self-evaluation made by each individual, people's attitudes towards themselves in the range of positive to negative dimensions. This research was conducted at the Methodist-5 Private High School Medan. The ap-proach in this study uses a quantitative method with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The population in this study were 130 students of class XI SMA Private Methodist-5 Medan. The sample in this study were 40 students who met the requirements in the study. In this study, two data analyzes were used, namely the Pearson product moment correlation to test the validity of the data and f percent for the analysis of the results. Reliability using alpha cronbrach coefficient technique. The reliability of assertive behavior items is 0.948 and the reliability of self-esteem items is 0.768. Based on the results of the study, the hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive correla-tion between self-esteem and assertive behavior. Assuming that the higher the self-esteem, the higher the student's assertive behavior, and vice versa the lower the student's self-esteem, the lower the student's assertive behavior. Data was collected using a Likert scale. To test the proposed hypothesis, the correla-tion coefficient Rxy = 0.535; p= 0.000<0.05. This means that there is a correla-tion between self-esteem and assertive behavior. So, there is a causal correlation between the two variables. From the results obtained, it can be stated that the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
