Hubungan Empati Dengan Komunikasi Interpersonal Guru Pada Siswa SDLB Negeri Kwala Binjai Dan SDLB Negeri Binjai

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan empati dengan komunikasi interpersonal guru pada siswa di SDLB Negeri 057704 Kwala Bingai dan SDLB Negeri 027701 Binjai. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 41 guru SDLB. Sejalan dengan pembahasan yang ada dilandasan teori, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bahwa ada hubungan yang positif antara empati dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada guru yang mengajar anak berkebutuhan khusus. Dengan asumsi semakin tinggi empati seorang guru, maka semakin tinggi komunikasi interpersonalnya. Sebaliknya semakin rendah empati seorang guru, maka semakin rendah komunikasi interpersonalnya dinyatakan diterima. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala Empati yang terdiri dari 4 aspek yaitu pengambilan perspektif, khayalan, mengenai empati, dan tekanan pribadi. Selain itu, dalam penelitian ini juga menggunakan skala Komunikasi Interpersonal yang terdiri dari 5 aspek yaitu konsep diri, kemampuan, kemampuan pengalaman, emosi dan pengungkapan diri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Dalam menguji hipotesis yang diajukan dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Analisis Korelasi r Product Moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara empati dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada guru yang mengajar anak berkebutuhan khusus. Hasil ini diketahui dengan melihat nilai atau koefisien hubungan antara variabel F = 1,654 dengan nilai signifikansi p (sig) = 0,136, artinya hipotesis yang diajukan dapat diterima. Dengan koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan kedua variabel sebesar r2 = 0,337 menunjukkan Empati berkontribusi terhadap Komunikasi Interpersonal sebesar 33,7%. This study aims to see the correlation between empathy with interpersonal communication of teachers to students in SDLB Negeri 057704 Kwala Bingai and SDLB Negeri 027701 Binjai. This type of research uses a Descriptive quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 41 SDLB teachers. In line with the discussion based on theory, the hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive correlation between empathy with interpersonal communication for teachers who teach children with special needs. With the assumption that the higher the empathy of a teacher, the higher the interpersonal communication. On the contrary, the lower the empathy of a teacher, the lower the interpersonal communication is accepted. This study uses a Emphaty scale consisting of 4 aspects, perspektif taking, fantasy, empatic concer, and personal disstress. In addition, this study also uses an Interpersonal Communication scale which consists of 5 aspects, self concept, sbility, skill experience, emotion, and self disclousure. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale. In testing the proposed hypothesis, it is carried out using the Correlation Analysis technique of r Product Moment. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that there is a positive correlation between empathy and interpersonal communication for teachers who teach children with special needs. This result is known by looking at the value or coefficient of the correlation between the variable F = 1.654 with a significance value of p (sig) = 0.136 this hypothesis can be accepted. With determinant coefficient (r2) of the relation between the two variables of r2= 0,337 indicating that emphaty contributes to interpersonal communication by 33,37%.
