Hubungan Harga Diri cengan Body Image pada Remaja Putri Kelas XI di SMA Swasta Nurul Amaliyah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan harga diri dengan body image pada remaja putri kelas XI di SMA Swasta Nurul Amaliyah. Body image adalah gambaran persepsi seseorang tentang tubuh ideal dan apa yang mereka inginkan pada tubuh mereka baik itu dalam hal berat badan maupun bentuk tubuh yang didasarkan pada persepsi-persepi orang lain dan seberapa harus mereka menyesuaikan persepsi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dimana prosedur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitan ini menggunakan total sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 59 orang siswi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan model skala likert. Analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian ini adalah teknik korelasi spearman. Berdasarkan hasil uji Kolerasi Spearman diketahui bahwa terdapat ada hubungan positif antara harga diri dengan body image, dengan asumsi semakin tinggi harga diri, maka semakin positif body image yang di miliki remaja tersebut. Begitu pula sebaliknya, dimana rxy = 0,620 dengan signifikan p = 0.000< 0,050. Adapun koefisien determinan r2 = 0,485 yang menunjukkan bahwa harga diri berkontribusi terhadap body image sebesar 48,5%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 51,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Mean hipotetik dalam penelitian ini untuk variabel harga diri sebesar 72,5 dan untuk variabel body image sebesar 140. Mean empirik pada harga diri sebesar 92,58 dan body image sebesar 176,47. Hal ini berarti hipotesis yang di ajukan dinyatakan diterima dengan hasil ada hubungan harga diri dengan body image pada remaja putri kelas XI di SMA Swasta Nurul Amaliyah. The aim of this study was to find out correlation self-esteem and body image at Adolescents in Private High School 11 Of Nurul Amaliyah. Body image is a description of a person's perception of their ideal body and what they want in their body, both in terms of body weight and body shape, based on other people's perceptions and how much they have to adjust those perceptions. This research is a quantitative research, where the procedure used in this study is a correlational model. The sampling technique in this research used total sampling. The sample used in this study were 59 female students. The technique used for data collection in this study is to use a Likert scale model. The analysis used to test the hypothesis of this study is the Spearman Correlation technique. Based on the results of the Spearman Correlation test, it is known that there is a positive relationship between self-esteem and body image, assuming that the higher the self-esteem, the more positive the body image that the teenager has. Vice versa, where rxy = 0.620 with significant p = 0.000 <0.050.The determinant coefficient of r2 = 0.485 which indicates that self-esteem contributes to body image by 48.5%, while the remaining 51.5% is influenced by other factors.The hypothetical mean in this study for selfesteem variable is 72.5 and for body image variable is 140. The empirical mean of self-esteem is 92.58 and body image is 176.47.This means that the hypothesis proposed is accepted with the result that there is a relationship between self-esteem and body image at Adolescents in Private High School 11 Of Nurul Amaliyah.
