dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Hubungan antara Pengembangan Karir dengan Kepuasan Kerja pada Karyawan PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero). Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero) yang berjumlah 50 orang dari populasi sebanyak 232 karyawan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Pengembangan Karir dan skala Kepuasan kerja. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi (rxy) sebesar 0,653 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,050 artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengembangan karir dengan kepuasan kerja pada karyawan Pelindo I, yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi pengembangan karir maka semakin tinggi kepuasan kerja. Sebaliknya semakin rendah pengembangan karir maka semakin rendah kepuasan kerja. Pengembangan Karir dalam penelitian ini tergolong sedang karena (mean empirik = 49,90 < mean hipotetik = 54 dimana selisihnya kurang dari bilangan SD = 15,516). Kepuasan Kerja juga tergolong sedang, karena (mean empirik = 53,40 < mean hipotetik = 57 dimana selisihnya kurang dari bilangan SD = 12,803). Adapun koefisien determinasi dan korelasi tersebut sebesar r2 = 0,426 artinya kepuasan kerja memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan karir sebesar 42,6%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini maka diapat diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 57,4% pengaruh dari faktor lain terhadap pengembangan karir yang tidak diungkap dalam penelitian ini. This study aims to see the relationship between career development and job satisfaction of employees of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero). The subjects in this study were employees of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero), amounting to 50 people from a population of 232 employees. The sampling technique was using quota sampling technique. Data were collected using a Career Development scale and a Job Satisfaction scale. Data analysis using correlation technique (rxy) of 0.653 with p = 0.000 <0.050 means that there is a positive and significant relationship between career development and job satisfaction for Pelindo I employees, which indicates that the higher the career development, the higher the job satisfaction. Conversely, the lower the career development, the lower the job satisfaction. Career development in this study is classified as moderate because (empirical mean = 49.90 <hypothetical mean = 54 where the difference is less than the SD number = 15.516). Job Satisfaction is also classified as moderate, because (empirical mean = 53.40 <hypothetical mean = 57 where the difference is less than the number SD = 12.803). The coefficient of determination and correlation is r2 = 0.426, meaning that job satisfaction contributes to career development by 42.6%. Based on this research, it is known that there are still 57.4% of the influence of other factors on career development which is not revealed in this study.en_US
